Designer brings cutting-edge fashion to McKinney
Fashion show by INDASHIO, winner of Vh1’s ‘Glam God,’ benefits charity
McKINNEY, TEXAS (March 9, 2009) – On Friday, April 3, 24 year-old fashion designer and Vh1 Glam God winner INDASHIO makes his Texas debut with a fashion event at the McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC). The designer, who recently won the Vh1 reality show hosted by Vivica A Fox, is bringing his collection which just premiered during New York Fashion Week, to McKinney as the only destination in the state.

“The event will give Texas patrons the opportunity to experience NY Fashion Week in true VIP style, with red carpet arrivals and local model castings,” said David Taylor , MPAC Director.
Local models can audition for future INDASHIO shows at a local casting call on Tuesday, March 31, at 6 p.m.
“I am thrilled to be making my Texas debut at the McKinney Performing Art Center ! Texas has been a big supporter, and with the growing population of McKinney and the revival of their downtown area and businesses. I felt this would be the perfect location for my debut. I am looking forward to inspiring residents to live their dreams in style,” said INDASHIO.

About McKinney Performing Arts Center
McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) at the Historic Collin County Courthouse, located in downtown McKinney , opened on March 31, 2006. Built in 1876 and drastically remodeled in 1927, the building served as a functioning courthouse until vacated in 1979. After 25 years of neglect, the facility was rehabilitated by the City of McKinney and the McKinney Community Development Corporation and re-crafted as a multi-purpose rental facility and performing arts venue. Now in its third year of operation, MPAC’s programming expands to include a season of MPAC-presented performing arts. These events are designed to compliment the activities of the local arts organizations that rent MPAC’s Courtroom Theater.
